How can parents get involved?

Join us at 6:00pm the first Tuesday of each month to meet together and discuss how parents can make a difference at Beacon Academy.

​

Parents are encouraged to volunteer 20 hours each year by helping out in classroom, driving for field trips, or helping with a school event.

​

What are some events that Home and School sponsors?

​

Kick off the holiday season the Friday before Thanksgiving Home and School coordinates a large potluck feast. It is a great time to connect. Many of our children perform in musical groups such as strings, choir, or band.

​

What fundraisers do Home and School coordinate?

The past two years we have sold sheets. We have raised over $2,000 each year. The funds collected go towards the building fund.

​

This winter we have launched a fundraiser with www.schoolstore.com. We have raised over $3000 in gift cards or cash for our classroom teachers to buy supplies. 

​

We have discussed selling RADA knives. Our account is set up but we have not launched that program yet.

​

We have signed up for Amazon Smile, Boxtops for Education, and also we collect aluminum cans.
